I finally made it to Egypt — a place I had dreamed of visiting since childhood, inspired by animations, movies, and video games that brought its fascinating culture and mysterious history to life. Seeing the pyramids near Cairo, the majestic Abu Simbel, the tombs in Luxor, and wandering through colorful local markets was nothing short of surreal. One highlight was taking the overnight train from Cairo to Aswan — a fun and memorable experience in itself.

Egypt is truly a land of treasures, but it’s also a place of contrasts. While the country holds incredible cultural wealth, it was heartbreaking to witness some of the difficult living conditions and frequent scams. The steep drop in the Egyptian pound has made daily life even tougher for many locals. I wish these magnificent symbols of civilization could bring prosperity and peace to the people, rather than the opposite.

I wrapped up the trip in Hurghada — a touristy spot, but the perfect way to unwind after an intense journey. The water there was crystal clear. I went snorkeling for the first time and even saw dolphins — an unforgettable way to end the adventure.
